Very pretty sepia scene! I like what you said in your side bar about your family going to the same place for years. It must be nice to have such roots.
I love how you captured the glow of the candles as well as the reflection dancing off the crystal. Beautiful. I agree with Kahshe Cottager--would make a beautiful Christmas card.
I have discovered HDR photography. I am using a simple digi camera now (I've been using Canon SLRs since I was a kid) and a trial version of Photomatix, which is why their logo is on my some of my photos. The 'atthecottage' is me though :0))
Thanks :0)
Me
I have been coming to my cottage every summer since I was born. I think I was conceived here ;) - it's in the water and those cool crisp September nights. This is my piece of heaven, the place my family had spent their summers for 86 years, it's part of me always.
You always want to return to the place that where you were happy and felt safe. I have always wanted to live at the cottage, so 4 years ago I made my final drive north to my cottage. I stayed and I love it. I'm guess I'm a a bit country now. I live on a beach with my kitties, my computer and an R.R. address.
I live in Tiny, Ontario (yup it's my municipality and s a township) in Central Ontario on Georgian Bay.
It's a good thing. ;) Tks MS

My Cottage
I was waiting on the pier for the ferry in Oak Bluff, MA. I LOVE Martha's Vineyard. This photo is several years old, I was younger, thinner :( and it appears much fairer;) Okay - I just happen to like this photo. :)

Lovely effect, I love the glow of the candles
Now we're talking...this is lovely!
Lovely effect with the glow of the flames on the candles! I can see this as a vintage Christmas Card

The blur gives your photo a warm, mystical feel. Thanks for participating in Sepia Scenes! :)
